A while back, I had the opportunity to do some work for Jessie Holmes. It was a “right place, right time” sort of situation. I used my skill sets for the Alabama-born Nat-Geo celebrity, and the people of Alaska responded. I stumbled into the mushing community by accident, and here I remain.
Team Can’t Stop represents the fortitude and tenacity that all great mushers possess. It takes extreme dedication and a heightened passion to become a successful dog musher – not for the faint of heart. The conditions are rugged, the pay is minimal, and yet… those who succeed do so despite these proclivities.
Among the successful, Jessie Holmes emulates such traits. There’s no quit in that man. No physical injury, no broken relationship, no financial hardship – nothing will get in his way. We can’t stop, we won’t stop!
